THE PROCEDURE

Preparation and Consultation:
Our staff will explain the procedure and answer any questions you may have. Generally, no special preparation is needed for an EKG.
You will be asked to remove any jewelry and wear a hospital gown to ensure easy access to the chest.
During the Procedure:
Electrodes will be placed on your chest, arms, and legs. These electrodes are connected to the EKG machine through wires.
You will be asked to lie still and breathe normally while the machine records your heart's electrical activity. The procedure is painless and typically takes about 10 minutes.
Post-Procedure and Follow-Up:
After the EKG, our cardiologists will review the results and provide a detailed report.
Results are typically available promptly, and you will be scheduled for a follow-up appointment to discuss the findings.
