We began in Eureka, a town that knows what it means to live a long way from the nearest hospital. That distance is the whole reason Big Sky exists. Instead of asking patients to make the drive, we bring diagnostic imaging to them, wherever they are.
From that start we grew into a regional team. Today we serve communities across Montana and into Wyoming, anchored in Cheyenne and expanding from there. The mission has not changed: make imaging easier on the care teams who order it and faster for the patients who need it.

Big Sky Imaging is led by CEO Nathan Purdy, MD, MHSA. A physician at the helm keeps the focus where it belongs: on clean, reliable imaging and on care teams who need answers without the hospital runaround.
That perspective shapes how we operate. We coordinate access and logistics so providers can order in one step and patients can be seen close to home.
Access and logistics, handled.
We are the team that gets imaging to the patient. We schedule the visit, route the technician, and bring X-ray, ultrasound, echocardiograms, and EKGs to homes, clinics, nursing homes, rural sites, and correctional facilities across Montana and Wyoming. Which studies are available depends on the market.
The reading is handled by our teleradiology partner, Rapid Radiology, so the report gets back to the ordering provider without delay. We coordinate the imaging; Rapid Radiology interprets it.
